Friars Gate Archers Field Shoot March 4th 2007 Results

A further dimension was added to this years shoot by the weather, which was appalling. The rain started just as the first arrows were released and it carried on for the rest of the day. Already damp underfoot the conditions came to resemble the Somme with equivalent attrition rates - no fatalities fortunately but one diehard suffered a full immersion in the river!

Of the 52 stalwarts who began the shoot 18 finished the full course with a further 18 managing the first round.

Congratulations to all competitors not only for turning out but also for the fighting spirit the atrocious weather brought out. We hope you will not be deterred from joining us again next year.
