Friars Gate Archers James Kimpton - Sussex Champion 2007 & Archer Extraordinaire

Congratulations to Jim on becoming Sussex Recurve Champion 2007 by winning the Featherstonehaugh Trophy on the first day of the County Championships held on July 7th 2007, scoring 1068 for the FITA.

This is yet another result to add to Jim's long list of achievements. There can't be too many archers capable of switching from right to left hand and within a season regaining their Bowman status.

With retirement looming and keen for the next challenge there is a rumour that Jim may, shock horror, be dabbling in the dark side, as the following images suggest. Watch this space .......................................
