The FGA Summer Outdoor Championships was attended by 16 brave souls, which considering the forecast, was a good turnout for the occasion. I think all found the conditions very challenging to say the least. However, all endeavored to do their best but some worked their magic
more efficiently than others. Well done to the winners:
Ladies Recurve: Karen Homewood
Gents Recurve: Jim Kimpton
Gents Compound: Arthur Goulding
Gents Longbow: Anthony Arber
Handicap: Jacqueline Evans

The sun was certainly smiling during the FGA Outdoor Handicap Championships, slapping on suntan lotion should have been the message of the day. There were probably a few "crispy" people later on in the evening. Competition was fierce but some managed to shoot better than
others and pulled away becoming this years handicap winners.
Ladies Recurve: Jacqueline Evans
Gents Recurve: Justin Huckett
Gents Compound: Arthur Goulding
Gents Longbow: Steven Taylor
In the afternoon Jeff organized a 70M Head to Head competition and managed by some means to have two byes, he had thought to fix the draw but had no need, the fix came naturally, so he says. Anyway, eventually the final between Jim and Arthur, compared by Pete, it was nail biting. Before the end it was realized that due to the handicap of 21 points deduction per dozen, Arthur as a compounder was fighting a losing battle. In the end it was a victory for Jim.
