Forty-six archers came from as far afield as Chichester, Dover and London to shoot the 28 target Foresters round in what turned out to be good weather despite the early morning downpours. On the day we saw the highest score I can remember being shot a 925 for the 28 targets. In fact from the visitors there were some very impressive scores in all classes. For the first time we also awarded medals for the best score in each class from a FGA archer. The full results from the day are here.
Once again Fletching provided a picturesque if somewhat challenging location for the traditional FGA field shoot. I have been told that FGA have been holding open field shoots for 40 years!
I would like to thank all of those that helped setup the course both two weeks ago and on the actual day at the risk of forgetting someone I believe this was Jeff, Keith, Derrick, Andrew, Dave, Bill, Paul, Stuart and Ian (apologies if I've forgotten anyone). Thank you also to Karen, Claire, Dave and Hannah for doing the excellent catering on the day.
I hope to see you all in September, entry form will be up soon
