Friars Gate Archers Spring Open Field Shoot Results May 25th 2008

For the first time Friars Gate Archers held an Open Field Shoot at its new venue in Fletching East Sussex. Despite the predictions the weather turned out to be glorious enabling all participants to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this amazing location.

Twenty two participants battled it out over the Forrester Round comprising two rounds of a fourteen target Course. Full results are detailed on the following link.

It was a particularly successful day for Terry White (Bayeux) who managed to negotiate the course loosing no arrows, without falling over and without getting wet! Terry achieved fame at the last FGA Field Shoot when he managed to achieve a full body immersion!

Not with standing the disappointing number of entries the day was an unqualified success and a further Open Shoot is planned for August/September 2008. Date agreed - 31st August 2008
