Friars Gate Archers Summer Open Field Shoot August 31st 2008

After the thorough soaking Friars Gate Archers received during their domestic championships the previous weekend a repeat experience ensued for the Open Field competition held at Fletching. Forty contestants battled against the elements over the double Forrester round with some very creditable scores being achieved. Ray Baldwin (Eastbourne) shot 705 in the Gents Barebow section, Shaun Duggan (Crawley) registering 795 in the Gents Recurve Freestyle and Duncan Elm (Fort Purbrook) 600 in the Gents Recurve Traditional.
